| A CD is available which will allow an NHS Acute Trust or Independent Sector Hospital to quickly upgrade their existing plans, either by using some sections of the CWC Major Emergency plan to update their own plans or migrating to the Major Emergency Plan, adding those requirements or additions which may be specific to their locality.
If you have an enthusiastic Emergency Planning Officer, he/she could adapt the CWC Major Emergency Plan to a Trust specific plan within a few days or CWC Services could come and assist you with the migration to speed up the process.
An additional need now is to have business continuity issues covered within the plan. The plans we produce cover this aspect of your business also and ensure your Trust can keep the business operating if fire, flood or other unforeseen internal incident reduces your capacity.
The plan will also incorporate the external agencies you need to liaise with and encapsulate all the latest guidance and directives from the centre.
